Morocco’s most touristy city (and its most expensive for hotels) will be 1 h 10 min from Casablanca by high-speed rail from late 2029. Its stadium is in phase 2 of works until 2028.
Marrakech welcomes millions of visitors every year and has the highest average hotel price in the country (975 dirhams in the first half of 2026). Its Grand Stade, 11 km to the north, is going up to 45,860 seats.
The Kénitra–Marrakech high-speed line (opening targeted for November 2029) will put Casablanca about 1 h 10 min away and Tangier 2 h 45 min away.
Al Atlas train from Casablanca in 2 h 30 min to 2 h 40 min (MAD 90 to 130 in second class), 8 to 10 direct services a day. Low-cost flights from Madrid (Ryanair, from €14.99 observed on 30 August 2026 for late September), Barcelona, Lisbon and Paris. CTM/Supratours buses MAD 70 to 120.
Alsa buses (about 4 dirhams, not verified), beige petits taxis (short trips 10 to 20 dirhams, the meter is rarely used) and horse-drawn caleches. Airport: bus L19 30 dirhams, taxi 70 to 100 dirhams at the official daytime rate (often negotiated at 100 to 150). Stadium: taxi 80 to 120 dirhams, 25 min.
