Tangier

Tangier links the two shores of this World Cup: ferries from Tarifa (1 h, port in the city centre) and Algeciras (1 h 30 min, Tanger Med 45 km away), and the Al Boraq to Rabat and Casablanca. The Grand Stade, 13 km from the centre, is the largest in the country until Benslimane opens.

Getting there

Ferry Tarifa–Tanger Ville with Baleària or AML (about 1 h, from $36 as a foot passenger observed on 26 August 2026, with Baleària advertising from €70 — aggregator teaser prices and operator fares differ: compare when you come to book); Algeciras–Tanger Med (1 h 30 min, around twenty crossings a day, from $33). Barcelona–Tangier flights in 2 hours (from $39 observed). Al Boraq from Casablanca in 2 h 10 min.

Getting around

Alsa buses and blue petits taxis (flag fare around 2.50 dirhams, +50% after 8pm). There is no major public transport link to the stadium: taxi 70 to 100 dirhams (30 min). More than 7,500 parking spaces at the stadium.

• Caves of Hercules — 14 km away, with an opening shaped like Africa looking out on the Atlantic.
