Las Palmas, on the island of Gran Canaria, is the most remote host city: about a 3-hour flight from Madrid. The stadium expansion project (“La Nube”) is contested locally over its cost to the public purse (more than €174 million).
By air only: 16 to 18 flights a day from Madrid (Iberia, Binter, Air Europa, Ryanair; from $44 one way observed on 20 August 2026, typical return $103 to $211). Bus line 60 runs between the airport and the centre.
Guaguas Municipales buses: €1.40 paid by bank card. Line 91 goes to the stadium, plus a special “Fútbol” service on match days.
