Nueva Romareda (Ibercaja Romareda)

Host stadium Under construction

Zaragoza’s new stadium (43,110 seats, €140 million) is taking shape: handover announced for the summer or the end of 2027.

The old Romareda (33,608 seats) has been completely demolished to make way for a brand-new 43,110-seat stadium, designed by IDOM and built by OHLA and Altuna y Uria for around €140 million. The naming rights have been sold to Ibercaja (Ibercaja Romareda) until 2035.

2030

As of 11 June 2026, the foundations were finished and the structure had risen above street level: ten cranes, 210 workers across two shifts, more than 43,000 m³ of concrete poured. Handover is announced for between the summer and the end of 2027, which leaves some margin before 2030.

Getting there

Tram line 1 (Romareda stop) or city buses. Single ticket €1.70, €0.55 a journey with the Tarjeta Bus (2026 fares). The stadium is 2 km south-west of the Basílica del Pilar.
