At Benslimane, some forty kilometres from Casablanca, Morocco is building what is billed as the future largest football stadium in the world: 115,000 seats under a giant “tent”. A declared candidate for the final.

· CC BY-SA 4.0Opened in 2007, the Fez sports complex is home to Maghreb de Fès. Phase 1 of the works (CAF standards) was delivered in June 2025 for the Africa Cup of Nations. Current capacity: around 35,000 seats.

Phase 2, launched after those in Agadir and Marrakech, provides for the removal of the running track, a football-only bowl, a new roof and a building on the west side, for 55,800 seats in 2028.
Getting there
The stadium is about 10 km from the centre: a petit taxi costs 60 to 100 dirhams (25 minutes), 100 to 150 dirhams from Fès-Saïss airport. 7,500 parking spaces. A first bus rapid transit line is in preparation.

Demolished and rebuilt from scratch, the Rabat stadium was inaugurated on 4 September 2025 and hosted the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final. Its operator states 68,095 seats. One point matters for travellers: there is no tram nearby, access is by bus or taxi.
Grand Stade de Tanger
Reopened on 14 November 2025 after two years of work, the Ibn Batouta stadium holds 75,600 — the largest in Morocco until Benslimane opens.
